UNION

A new life, a new day, a new reason,
A life together to grow and reason.
Together in love, spirit, and wisdom,
From young to old in Christendom.
For generations upon generations,
This union continues.
In life, in memory, and in love,
Neverending of this One,
which multiplies and defies
with Holiness and love upon its side,
So that neither one ever divides.
Your soul touches me like a smoldering ember,
Sparking slightly, receiving the oxygen to grow,
Spreading like a wildfire, consuming me.
Swallowing me whole, like a burning tree.
Leaving me in a heap of ashes to be blown.
Scattering helplessly, drifting on the wind,
I remain no more.
